Constantia Resources Ltd. is a British Columbia based mineral exploration company with offices in Vancouver and Cache Creek, BC. The company is focused on determining the potential of mineralization at the Maggie Exploration Project, located in an area approximately between Clinton and Cache Creek, BC.

  1. The Challenge

Constantia Resources believes in building stakeholder relationships. The importance of creating local jobs for local people is always a high priority. Long term skills development and education for tomorrow’s workforce, along with generating awareness for the Company and the Project is a focus. Constantia needed to reinforce these priorities with actions.

  2. The Solution

With the help of SIVOTT’s People Partner, Kelly Tarry, Constantia was able to:

    • Create a local hire policy and recruit local community members for field season activities.
    • Develop and facilitate fun workshops aimed at high school aged students providing resume writing and interview skills training, as well as information on the exploration industry and the good work done at the Maggie Project.
    • Organize trade training events through third party providers to increase employee skill sets.
  3. The Outcome
    • More than 20 local community people hired during the 2014 & 2015 field seasons
    • Over 40 students have participated in the Job Skills workshops to date and 100% of feedback forms received said that they would recommend the course to others
    • 100% of the trade training participants successfully past their trade training qualification and were more equipped to carry out their tasks
